ON ALCD

Alliance for Local Communities' Sustainable Development - ALCD was founded in 1998, in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, as a non-governmental organization. Founders of ALCD are experts in sustainable development-related fields, as well as members of various NGOs from Yugoslavia.

MISSION

Promotion of all aspects of sustainable development
ALCD is dedicated to advocate and support development of three sectors of sustainable development - local communities, NGOs and private SMEs - as a prerequisite for substantial and sustainable transitional move in Yugoslavia and the Balkans.

GOALS

• Improving skills and knowledge on successful management of local authorities, NGOs and entrepreneurs;

• Development of private SMEs and entrepreneurship at all society levels;
  

• Institution-building for financing the growth of private SMEs;
  

• Linking of local communities, NGOs and business communities
  through computer networking;
  

• Realizing public advocacy activities to promote sustainable society growth.
